Nathan Root
Administrator

Nathan (Nate) has been in the Healthcare field for over 30 years starting out as a dietary Manager.  He has worked in the Cleveland and Toledo markets as an Administrator as well as an Interim Administrator to train new Administrators coming in to the Healthcare Field.  Nate has been with Marion Manor since 2016. He and his wife Kim, a school teacher in the Bellevue area, enjoy working on their farm where they currently raise miniature horses, donkeys, peacocks and bees.

Courtnie Postell
Director of Nursing

Courtnie started working at Marion Manor in February of 2018 as the Director of Nursing.  Courtnie has 12 years experience as a nurse with the majority of that time in the Long term care setting.  Courtnie is married and has 2 daughters.

Valerie Bower, LPN
MDS Coordinator

Valerie has been with Marion Manor for 16 years.  She began as a Floor nurse and is now the MDS (Medical Data Set) nurse for the facility.  Valerie has been married for 45 years to her husband Dave who recently retired.  Valerie and her husband have 3 great grandchildren and 6 wonderful grandchildren.  Valerie enjoys beach vacations, time outdoors, walking and spending time with her family.

Cheryl Shaffer
Office Manager

Cheryl has served as the Office Manager for Marion Manor since 2011.  Cheryl graduated from Marion technical College with a degree in Accounting. As Office Manager, her role includes Admissions Coordinator, Payroll, accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.  She is trained in the area of Healthcare Insurances, Medicaid and Medicare.  Cheryl is married to her husband Ron and they have one son, Devin who is married to Rachel.  Devin and Rachel have two daughters, Sidney and Shelby.  Cheryl likes spending time with her family and enjoys taking pictures.  She likes being outdoors and taking walks, swimming, horses and listening to country music.

Brenda Hudnell
Activities Director

Brenda began working with Marion Manor in 1996.  She serves as Activities Coordinator, planning programs of interest, inviting community organizations in for special events.  Brenda began her healthcare career in 1982 as a Nurse aide, then switching to Activities in 1987. Brenda has a grown son and two adorable dogs.

Maria graduated from Marion Technical College in 2007.  Maria has 12 years as a PTA (Physical therapist assistant and has been with Marion Manor for 6 years.  The majority of her professional experience has been in the long term care setting. “The most rewarding part of my job is helping residents to achieve their personal therapy goals.”
